11/11 Hawks vs Canes

Recommended Posts

Saad-Toews-Panik
Schmaltz-Anisimov-Kane
Bouma-Kero-DeBrincat
Sharp/Hayden-Wingels-Hartman

Keith-Franson
Murphy-Seabrook
Forsling-Rutta

Finally lineup I like.(except there should be Hino instead of Sharp/Bouma)

Best version of Toews line is back and after 16 games Q has finally realized that Schmaltz is NOT a center, especially with his terrible 38 FOW% and zero net presence but he is better winger who can keep step with Kane.Anisimov can again do his job in front of the net, it's the place where he's the best.. Rutta is also better as bottom dman at least for now after his only 16 NHL career games.Easier matchup for DCat rookie and Sharp on 4L (or out) are good decisions too.

After not showing up in Philly (missed the flight?), the stars (Toews, Kane and Saad), hopefully, will rejoin the team in Carolina.  They will probably be needed against a Cane team that won last night in Columbus, although I read that the BJs have the league's worst PP (it must really, really be awful, if it is worse than the Hawks' PP).  Regardless of who shows up for the Hawks, they should be able to win this one against one of the East's worst teams.  Shouldn't they?  But, Darling may stand in the way of that win.

Might be offline.  Hoping for a better result since the Ex-hawks will be looking for improving numbers against the hawks what with them being a sub-500 punching bag at the moment.

Carolina is quite the remedy for this Hawk team right now.  How often do we win there?

Darling may have something to say about that.

Did Rutta play in a non-contact league last year?  Jeezus, he gets lit up at least once a game where he looks totally caught off guard.

sure looked like a break down in coverage on that goal.  McGinn sneaked behind the goal and was undefended.  Coaching or lack of awareness on the players or both?

JT needs to find his old humility and determination, imo.  Me thinks he is complaining too much and not adjusting/playing through his difficulties.

on the replay, Forsberg probably should have had that.  Over slid to the near post.

Forsberg would grabbed that puck easily if Seabs didnt pass it away...

agree MJ.  He made the first save, but over slid the other way and couldn't find his post leaving his stick side open.
