Marc Trestman Chosen To Be Bears' New Coach

27 posts in this topic

At a time when Manti T'eo has made a mockery of Notre Dame, Marc Trestman is just what the doctor ordered in terms of someone with a strong ethical background. Though I realize that was what many people once thought of the late Joe Paterno, someone who has had a frequent pulse on the Canadian Football League as myself can assure that Marc Trestman is as pure of an influencial figure as there is on the sports scene today.

-One C.F.L. panelist on T.S.N emphasized that Marc Trestman's demeanor never changes, whether his team is winning or losing. Marc Trestman shall not only be ideal for the Bears for his football prowess, but also for his rock solid stability. Marc Trestman is exactly what the Bears need for a franchise in transition on the sidelines with a nucleus intended to compete for Super Bowl 48.

-The only thing that I shall hold against Marc Trestman is that he's a Carolina Hurricanes' fan. During the offseason, he prioritizes spending time with his family at their Carolina home. Though Marc Trestman backs his support behind Cam Ward & the Canes, all can easily be forgiven if he can make the Bears realize their enormous potential.

Excited to see the Bears head in a new direction.

Trestman appears to have a very solid record working with QB's and has worked with JC in the past.

Hopefully this will invite the Bears into the Modern era of Offensive Football teams...

Now, lets get ready for the draft!

Jay Cutler's intangibles are underrated. He actually does well when it comes to being a team player, someone who cares about winning, and also someone who is willing to play through pain.

-However, that still doesn't mean that Jay Cutler's character overall should remain exactly where it is right now.

-In the Canadian Football League, Marc Trestman coached the very best quarterback possible in the present-day era in Anthony Calvillo. Similarly to the Toronto Argonauts' Ricky Ray, Anthony Calvillo has not just been an extraordinary leader, but a remarkable self-motivator as well. Marc Trestman never had to get involved in this regard as he had coached the Montréal Alouettes.

-Marc Trestman's challenge is not only to excel in a league with better calibre players, but to bring out the best in Jay Cuter & do it sustainably. Marc Trestman must not only increase Jay Cutler's productivity in terms of his quarterback rating, but must mold him into a true professional as well. When Marc Trestman was with the Montréal Alouettes, nothing phased him throughout the course of each & every game. Marc Trestman must teach Jay Cutler to not only play at a higher level more consistently, but to have the same drive through good times & bad.

-Jay Cutler also has to take it upon himself to become more coachable. In Montréal, there was never any concern about Anthony Calvillo ever getting pulled. Should Jay Cutler become either miserable or stubborn, Marc Trestman won't guarantee that he'll be taking every snap from underneath centre just because of his lucrative $ contract.

-As a devoted Chicago Bears' fan, I not only want the Bears to have the best 2013 season possible, but to have them flourish with Marc Trestman & Jay Cutler working well alongside one another.
