So you use your phone to get NHL information from the NHL app... and you use your phone to visit our website. Both of these things are great. But if you use the NHL app and set the Blackhawks as your favorite team, you would likely benefit from having our content served to you that way.

Basically, take your NHL app. In that app you have the ability to select the Blackhawks as your Favorite. Once you do that, the black changes to red, it says Chicago Blackhawks on the top, and all the content on the main screen is ALL Blackhawks content -- all the same content and more from the previous app. There are icons at the bottom of the app for Scores, Latest, Stats... those all take you to NHL information. So it's a NHL app and Blackhawks app in once - except if you don't care about NHL news and info, you never have to click on it. You also have the ability in the settings to change the icon on your home screen to the Blackhawks, so no more NHL icon. And you can setup push notifications/alerts to get score updates, end of game, and other info for Blackhawks games.

I don't really have to sell it though because literally hundreds of thousands of people adopted the new platform and are using it without issue. The initial complaints in the app store were all tied to the shock of the change and misconception that you would now be getting fed NHL content instead of Blackhawks content. I understand how one would perceive that, but it wasn't true then and it isn't true now. There's a Blackhawks icon on my phone. I click it, it opens an app that serves me Blackhawks content. All the same as it did before.

No, this isn't changing. But once you get over the initial change of it there is 100% no difference than what you had before. It's a Blackhawks icon, it opens up an app that has all the same BLACKHAWKS content it used to have and more. You literally don't have to see any NHL content unless you actively seek it out. I promise you, it's the same/better experience.
  5. 1 Is there any way to access my posts from game day both regular season and playoffs?

2 why have the regular season gamed day threads been altered

  6. As a newer member, I can't post on any of the boards, they all require 35 posts...

Correct. You can reply. But you become a full member when you do it 35 times.

I assume you know, but just making sure... The senior adviser you are referring to was hired before the 2008-09 season by a different GM.

Speaking of the whole picture... For obvious reasons I've stayed out of this thread and will continue to do so. If you believe the Blackhawks should have kept Campbell, that's your opinion and you're welcome to state it. But I've seen this math used a few times now with no response and can't resist jumping in. First off, the d man who really 'replaced' Campbell in terms of role/minutes was Nick Leddy. Montador, in turn, 'replaced' Leddy. But fine, ignore that... Add up what the Blackhawks owe or would have owed Olesz and Montador (whose cap hit is not $4 million, FYI)... and why not, go ahead and throw in Oduya's full salary for the season just for kicks... you'll find Campbell is still more than $10 million higher. You can't focus on one year and ignore all the others remaining. Plus, Olesz is in Rockford and not actually counting against the cap. When you factor that in, it's obviously closer to $20 million.

Can you link to these quotes from Florida possibly?
  10. Stan As Gm

Hmm... I'll look into it, thanks.
  11. Stan As Gm

Actually, no. If you have something specific you want to say, fine. But otherwise it just seems like spam.

Why rush to be critical? Why not just ask about this restriction and see if it's something that can be changed?

Biscuit is, of course, correct. In this particular case, every post in every thread remains (yes, even the completely insane ones )... I tweaked several forum settings recently, all of which were cosmetic -- like how many characters you can use when naming a thread and how many posts appear per page, which as Biscuit said, you can customize yourself.
